Meeshapulimala peak is the second highest peak in southern India, stands at an altitude of 8661 feet above sea level. It gets its name ‘Meeshapulimala’ because the peak resembles a tiger face, which is densely covered around 8 hills. Meeshapulimala is the best place for trekking and gets to view the wildlife, grasslands, rainforests. When you reach Meeshapulimala peak you will enjoy a scenic view of Tamil Nadu and Kerala borders.

The starting point of the trek is Rhodovalley or from Kurangini through the Kolukkumalai tea estate. If you trek via rhodovalley takes around 6-8 hours and the other Kurangini takes around 9 hours. Best Time To Visit Meeshapulimala

The best time for trekking Meeshapulimala is from October to February. During this time the nature looks so beautiful and pleasant. Nature gives you a calm and fresh mind during this period. During summer you can see the clouds below your feet. Trekking is difficult during the rainy season, so monsoon is not an ideal time to visit Meeshapulimala.

Mattupetty Dam
